St. Andrew Christmas Novena Prayer Card | Holy Family Design
St. Andrew Christmas Novena Prayer Card | Holy Family Design
This prayer card includes the traditional St. Andrew Novena prayer, typically prayed 15 times daily from St. Andrew's feast day (November 30th), through December 24th, in preparation for Christmas!
About the Design:
The artwork on this card depicts the Holy Family - the Infant Jesus, cradled in the arms of his Blessed Mother Mary with St. Joseph his foster father looking on in adoration. Increased devotion to the Holy Family began in the 17th century, leading to a feast day added to the General Roman Calendar in 1921, to celebrate them as a role model for families. Scenes reflecting their life together have been represented in art for centuries, especially the birth of Jesus at Christmas. Traditional prayers said in anticipation of the coming of the Infant Jesus include this St. Andrew Christmas Novena prayer.
